Craghoppers unveils AW26 National Trust Collection shaped by Cragside’s landscape and legacy

CRAGHOPPERS has revealed its fifth National Trust Collection for the Autumn/Winter season with a heritage‑inspired range shaped by the dramatic landscapes and pioneering history of Cragside in Northumberland.

Known as Britain’s original smart home, Cragside was the first house in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity, and its woodland trails, lakes and inventive character form the backbone of the new AW26 release.

Launching in early September, the collection blends practical outdoor performance with timeless winter styling, offering dependable layers for country walks, woodland rambles and weekend exploring.

Created by William and Margaret Armstrong, Cragside became a symbol of Victorian innovation. It was known as a place where engineering, nature and imagination met. Craghoppers’ AW26 National Trust Collection leans into that story, drawing inspiration from the estate’s dramatic gardens, moorland paths and lakeside viewpoints.

The range includes six new men’s styles, four women’s styles, and two accessories, all crafted with durable fabrics, versatile insulation and heritage‑inspired detailing.

Key pieces for men

The men’s line is built around reliable warmth and weather protection, featuring:

• Padley II Jacket – A waterproof insulated layer using AquaDry construction, ThermoAir+ fill and a borg‑lined hood for comfort in cold, changeable conditions.
• Dalesway II Jacket & Dalesway Vest – Lightweight insulated options with ThermoPro fill and H2OShield water‑repellent finishes, ideal for layering.
• Cormorant Half Zip, Lathkill II Jacket & Bartsia Half Zip – Soft fleece mid‑layers offering everyday warmth and easy styling for autumn and winter walks.

The women’s range focuses on warmth, weather resistance and classic winter silhouettes, with:

• Sweetgrass Hooded Jacket – A bestselling quilted layer returning with ThermoPro insulation and a wind‑resistant, water‑repellent H2OShield finish.
• Borage Vest – A stylish insulating gilet with diamond baffles and H2OShield protection.
• Tuberose Jacket – A standout waterproof piece featuring AquaDry technology and ThermoAir+ insulation, designed with a heritage‑inspired aesthetic.
• Avens II Jacket – A lightweight sherpa fleece offering soft, cosy warmth for everyday wear.

The AW26 accessories include:

• Vervain Hat – A soft knitted essential for breezy hilltop climbs and cold‑weather woodland walks.
• Dunnock Lounge Sock – An organic‑cotton blend sock with loop‑back comfort and odour‑elimination technology.

Craghoppers will donate 10% of net profits from the AW26 National Trust Collection to support the restoration of Cragside’s historic flume, which is a vital part of the estate’s original hydroelectric system. The flume once channelled water from the surrounding moorland into Nelly’s Moss Lakes, helping generate the electricity that made Cragside world‑famous. Today, it continues to maintain water levels and support the wildlife that thrives there.
